Lululemon has named Zhou Guanyu as their latest brand ambassador

The partnership also signals Lululemon’s latest bid to raise brand awareness among Chinese consumers.

The Canadian activewear brand Lululemon has named Zhou Guanyu as their latest brand ambassador in an announcement on January 11th.

Zhou first got behind the wheel at the age of 8 and was already pursuing a professional career in racing by the time he was 15. He has achieved a series of milestones in Chinese motorsport history, including starting his first season as China's much-awaited first-ever Formula 1 driver in 2022. Zhou’s world-class fighting spirit and effortless confidence are typical of the new generation of Chinese athletes.

The partnership also signals Lululemon’s latest bid to raise brand awareness among Chinese consumers. Lululemon experienced a boom in popularity among Chinese consumers in 2022 when yoga pants, which Lululemon is best known for, came under high demand as more and more Chinese took to at-home exercise during lockdowns.
